In episode 8 of SBS’s Wednesday–Thursday drama Sold Out on You (nicknamed ‘Omaejin’), a conversation between Dam Ye-jin (played by Chae Won-bin) and Na Somi (Ahn Se-bin) featured Somi naming her favorite idol as Jinu from Lion Boys—a clever nod that smartly parodied Ahn Hyo-seop’s past role and delighted viewers.
Then came the viral visual gag: while Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo-seop) worked the fields with a blank expression, his straw hat was cross-cut in an instant to a Joseon-era ‘gat’ (traditional black hat), seamlessly selling the bit.
