Actors Jung Kyung-ho and Jeon Yeo-been are teaming up for an adults-only romantic comedy that’s already sparking buzz.
On the 15th, the team behind ENA’s new drama Hokhaneun Romance unveiled a rock-solid lead lineup featuring Jung Kyung-ho, Jeon Yeo-been, Choi Dae-hoon, and Kang Mal-geum.
Hokhaneun Romance follows a star news anchor going through early andropause (male menopause) and a ratings-driven writer who won’t shy away from gossip if it means pulling numbers. Jung Kyung-ho plays Na I-jun, an anchor notified he’s being pulled from the primetime news due to early andropause symptoms. Shunted to a current-affairs show on the brink of cancellation, he constantly clashes with writer Seo Hae-yoon (played by Jeon Yeo-been), and the two develop a tantalizing, against-all-odds romance.
Choi Dae-hoon and Kang Mal-geum round out the cast to add depth. Choi portrays reporter Ji Han-soo, who dreams of becoming a star anchor but struggles with pronunciation, while Kang takes on Heo Mi-eun, Seo Hae-yoon’s steadfast ally. The pair will depict a down-to-earth romance as a realistic divorced “dolsing” couple—spotlighting love in your 40s.
The production team shared, “The synergy of this trusted cast will capture the full, mature flavor of adult romance,” adding, “We’ll meet viewers with a distinct charm that sets us apart from the youth rom-coms slated for the first half of next year.”
Meanwhile, Hokhaneun Romance is scheduled to air in the first half of 2027.
