Actor So Ji Sub’s grand return to SBS after 13 years is already dominating the conversation.
According to trend tracker Good Data Corporation on the 30th, SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama Agent Kim Reactivated exploded in buzz from premiere week. So Ji Sub ranked No. 1 in the TV-OTT Integrated Drama Cast Buzz category in its first week on air. Agent Kim Reactivated also topped the TV Drama Buzz chart and placed No. 2 in the overall TV-OTT Integrated Drama Buzz ranking.
Premiering on the 26th, Agent Kim Reactivated sparked a ratings frenzy in just two episodes, soaring to 15.7% nationwide, 15.9% in the Seoul metro area, and a peak of 18.1% (Nielsen Korea). It’s the first time in about five years that a drama has surpassed 15% since 2021’s The Penthouse 3: War in Life.
Among the key 20–49 demo, it averaged 5.8% with a peak of 7.17%, finishing No. 1 among all Saturday programs. Capturing not only older viewers but also younger audiences, Agent Kim Reactivated is cementing itself as a true cross-generational hit. It also climbed to No. 3 on Netflix’s global rankings and hit No. 1 in eight countries, fueling a worldwide ‘Agent Kim’ syndrome.
Meanwhile, from Netflix’s Notes From the Last Row, Choi Hyun-wook and Choi Min-sik placed No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, in the cast buzz rankings.
