Actor Kim Myung-soo’s push to deliver a standout performance in his new drama is drawing attention.

Lifetime’s new Sat–Sun drama Love in Sync is a romantic comedy about a woman who rejects empathy and a man who shoulders it, exploring each other’s worlds through a supernatural phenomenon called “emotional transfer” and relearning how to feel.

At the production presentation held on the 30th, PD Kim Chil-bong, Kim Myung-soo, Kang Min-ah, and Kwon So-hyun amped up anticipation for the series.

Kim Myung-soo plays Cha Eun-hwan, a wildly popular counselor with 100% empathy, bringing an approachable charm to viewers. Kang Min-ah takes on top star Yoo Ji-an, while Kwon So-hyun plays Han Yi-jin, Yoo Ji-an’s rival and the industry’s current “it” actor.

Kim Myung-soo said, “As a counselor, Cha Eun-hwan can show a bright side, but he also carries personal darkness. I felt I could express that well at this point in my life, so I decided to join the project.” He added that while his real-life MBTI is 90% T (Thinking), Cha Eun-hwan in the drama leans strongly F (Feeling). “I’ve mostly done genre pieces and historicals in the past, so I’m excited to show a different side of me in a romantic comedy this time.”

He admitted, “When I first read the script, I couldn’t quite relate, so I did a lot of script read-throughs.” He also said he received advice and help on set from the two co-stars.

Meanwhile, Love in Sync will premiere simultaneously on Lifetime, U+tv Mobile, and Disney+ on July 4 at 10:50 p.m.
