Shocking new report: hot-shot actor Kim Do-hoon — now everywhere from variety shows to ads and dramas — is said to be joining a new Netflix film.
According to News1 on the 15th, Kim Do-hoon will appear in Netflix's new original film Dochabi.
Named after a pure Korean word for “goblin,” Dochabi is billed as a top-tier period film. Buzz is surging because it's the next project from production company On the Works, which set a historic record as the No. 2 all-time Korean box office hit with the film The King's Warden. Adding to the hype, director Ahn Tae-jin — praised for his stylish touch in the film The Night Owl and the drama Du Beonjjae Sigeuneol — is at the helm.
Kim Do-hoon broke out in 2023 with the Disney+ original series Moving, leaving a strong impression as class president Kang Hoon. He has since expanded his range across genres with the dramas Your Honor, Love Scout, Seocho-dong, and Dear X. He also showed a cheeky, down-to-earth side on the variety shows Manitto Club and Agents of Mystery. Currently, Kim is focused on filming his next project, Euntoe Yowon + Gwanri Team, keeping up an unstoppable work streak.
With the buzzworthy addition of trusted rising star Kim Do-hoon, Dochabi is set to kick off principal photography in August as full-scale production gears up.
