Actor Kim Min — already going viral for looking like Kim Sungcheol — is crashing the series he’s currently appearing in with a shocking, scene-stealing special appearance that’s set to shake up the plot.

Kim Min makes a special appearance in the Disney+ original series Gold Land as Cheonggang, a member of a Cambodian crime syndicate. Gold Land is a ruthless survival thriller about a deadly scramble to seize 150 billion won in gold bars smuggled by a criminal ring. In the chaos filled with greed and betrayal, Hee-ju (played by Park Bo-young) fights to survive.

Cheonggang, played by Kim Min, is a key figure in the Cambodian organization and maintains a secret business partnership with Gyu-seok (played by Choi Deok-moon), the chairman of the Gold Land casino. Unlike Kim Min’s previous roles, Cheonggang exudes a weighty charisma that cranks the tension to the max. In his first scene — appearing the moment he lands in Korea — he casually offers a handshake to executive Park Ho-cheol (played by Lee Kwang-soo), delivering a brief yet powerful aura that instantly grabbed viewers’ attention.

After making a definitive mark this year with his intense turn as Eom Tae-san in the film The King’s Warden, Kim Min’s momentum has only grown, boosted by the successful re-release of his past film Rebound. Now, with Gold Land, he’s expanding seamlessly into the OTT arena, stacking a filmography viewers can trust.

Meanwhile, with Kim Min’s special appearance powering the final sprint, Gold Land is set to drop its finale — episodes 9 and 10 — on the 27th.
