In a shocking third livestream, rapper-producer MC Mong doubled down on bombshell claims, name-dropping MBC drama Perfect Crown and IU while arguing that "well-known celebrities are actually the weakest targets."

On the 20th, MC Mong went live on his TikTok to again protest what he called unfair reporting and investigations surrounding him. While denying allegations of overseas gambling, solicitation, and infidelity, he criticized certain TV producers’ reporting methods — and, in that flow, brought up the history-distortion controversy over Perfect Crown.

Pointing out that IU personally apologized when the controversy erupted, he asked, "Why should the actor be the one to bow their head?" He continued, "The people who should really take responsibility hide in the back, and in the end, only the recognizable celebrities take all the blame," raising his voice. MC Mong also argued that Korean society demands excessively high morality and responsibility from celebrities.

Perfect Crown was embroiled in accusations of historical distortion and Sino-centric narrative issues, prompting consecutive apologies from IU, Byeon Woo-seok, the director, and the writer. Using this case to mirror his own situation, MC Mong stressed that publicly exposed figures are structurally hit harder.

MC Mong also called out another producer by name and rebutted point-by-point the reporting about him. Addressing past allegations over investment funds and company finances, he claimed, "I even sold my copyrights to save the company and held out so employees wouldn’t miss their paychecks." He also firmly denied that any concert advances were used to cover personal matters.

He further mentioned his dispute with Cha Gawon, chairman of the PIAK Group, saying, "I’m not someone who likes to fight. I reached out first to say let’s stop." However, he claimed his words were relayed differently, escalating the situation.

Still, many of the assertions MC Mong made on air remain unverified. Several individuals named in his first and second livestreams have strongly refuted his claims as baseless or signaled legal action.

Broadcast three days in a row, MC Mong’s livestreams are snowballing into a full-on exposé war aimed at the entertainment and TV industries. It remains to be seen how much of his claims can be corroborated — and how the named parties will respond.
