Shocking comeback alert: BTS is set to return to the American Music Awards (AMA) stage for the first time in about five years, with a high-profile appearance and multiple nominations that are already sparking buzz.
On the 20th (local time), the AMA announced that BTS will take the stage at 5 p.m. on May 25 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
This marks BTS’s first AMA performance since 2021. The group has previously taken home several trophies at the AMAs, both as a group and through solo activities.
After releasing their 5th studio album 'Arirang' (ARIRANG) on March 20, BTS scored a nomination for the top honor, 'Artist of the Year.' They will compete against Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Harry Styles, and Sabrina Carpenter.
They also proved their massive popularity with nods in additional categories, including 'Song of the Summer' and 'Best Male K-Pop Artist.'
Meanwhile, BTS will keep their world tour momentum going with shows at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas from the 23rd to the 28th.
