Aespa’s ‘Lemonade’ Shocks the World, Dominating Global Charts

Aespa’s comeback sees ‘Lemonade’ sell over 840,000 copies on day one

Aespa roared back with their 2nd full-length album ‘Lemonade’, seizing No. 1 on iTunes ‘Top Albums’ in 19 countries and surpassing 840,000 first-day sales.

On the 30th, SM Entertainment announced that aespa’s 2nd studio album ‘Lemonade’ topped the iTunes ‘Top Albums’ chart in 19 regions worldwide.

The new release, which dropped the day prior, hit No. 1 on ‘Top Albums’ in Nigeria, Taiwan, Laos, Mexico, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Finland, and Colombia, among others. It also landed in the Top 10 across 38 regions including the United States, France, Canada, Australia, and the Netherlands.

On release day alone, ‘Lemonade’ sold over 840,000 copies on Hanteo. On China’s largest music platform, QQ Music, it surpassed 3,000,000 yuan in sales (approximately 668.34 million KRW), earning a ‘Triple Platinum’ certification. In Japan, the group took No. 1 on the Line Music Album Top 100, No. 1 on AWA’s real-time rising chart, and No. 2 on Recochoku’s daily album ranking, underscoring their overwhelming presence.

The album features 10 tracks in total, including the title track ‘Lemonade’ and the pre-release ‘WDA’ (Whole Different Animal) (Feat. G-DRAGON), showcasing aespa’s musical growth alongside an even more robust universe storyline.

Meanwhile, aespa will continue ‘Lemonade’ promotions with back-to-back appearances on MBC Show! Music Core and SBS Inkigayo.
