Dahyun of TWICE marked her birthday with a heartwarming act of kindness, donating 30 million KRW (approximately $22,000).
According to her agency JYP Entertainment on the 1st, Dahyun donated 30 million KRW to the Ulsan Community Chest of Korea on May 28, her birthday.
The funds will be used to help cover medical expenses and provide support for leukemia patients in the Ulsan region who are facing financial hardship due to treatment costs.
Through her agency, Dahyun shared, "For my birthday, I wanted to share the love I’ve received," adding, "I hope my small gesture can bring some strength and comfort to those undergoing treatment."
She previously donated 50 million KRW (around $37,000) in 2020 to a special fund for COVID-19 relief and, in February 2023, joined her TWICE members in donating 200 million KRW (about $150,000) to support children and families affected by the Türkiye–Syria earthquakes—continuing her steady, positive influence.
Meanwhile, TWICE won the 'Best Female K-Pop Artist' award at the 'American Music Awards' held on May 25 (local time) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
