Top-tier "actors you can trust" — including Ji Sung, Ha Yoon-kyung, Park Byung-eun, and Moon So-ri — gathered in one place, instantly sparking buzz.
On the 4th, the script reading for JTBC’s new weekend drama Apartment dropped, igniting massive interest and raising expectations.
At the reading, Ji Sung, Ha Yoon-kyung, Park Byung-eun, and Moon So-ri drew attention with razor-sharp chemistry. Ji Sung transforms into Park Hae-gang, a former gangster running for residents’ association president, radiating intense charisma. Known as the legendary Oasis crew boss with a 0% rate of unpaid collections, Hae-gang must gather 10 billion won in seed money to save Yong-man, a father figure. To do that, he targets the so-called "jangchung-geum" slush fund, setting off fierce conflicts with fellow residents.
Ha Yoon-kyung plays attorney Kang Ha-ri, who dreams of joining a major law firm but currently works at a free legal counseling center. Caught between reality and ideals, Ha-ri gets entangled with Hae-gang, trading barbs and bickering in scenes grounded in realism.
Park Byung-eun appears as Lee Chung-won, a construction CEO and penthouse resident. Wielding both soft charisma and a razor-sharp edge, Chung-won faces off against Park Hae-gang in a high-stakes clash over the "jangchung-geum" fund.
Moon So-ri takes on Jang Sook-jin, the apartment complex’s infamous busybody, channeling a talkative and curious personality with boundless energy. Ever the first to jump in for the sake of the community, Sook-jin promises plenty of comedic, feel-good moments.
Meanwhile, Apartment follows Park Hae-gang and the residents as they dive into corruption swirling around "blind money," with Hae-gang entering the race for residents’ association president to expose the truth. The series premieres in July on JTBC.
