BTS clinched a double crown on Japan’s Oricon mid-year tally with their 5th studio album ‘ARIRANG’.

According to Oricon’s ‘Mid-Year Ranking 2026’ announced on the 25th (tallied from December 8, 2025 to June 7, 2026), BTS’s 5th studio album ‘ARIRANG’ took No. 1 on both the ‘Album Ranking’ and the ‘Combined Album Ranking,’ securing a double crown.

Back in 2020, BTS topped the mid-year ‘Album Ranking’ with their 4th Japanese studio album. With ‘ARIRANG’ also hitting No. 1 on the same ‘Album Ranking,’ they became the only overseas act ever to claim the chart’s top spot twice. BTS also became the first foreign musician to rank No. 1 on the mid-year ‘Combined Album Ranking.’

Through Oricon, the members said, “‘ARIRANG’ is an album we released as a full group for the first time in 3 years and 9 months. We’re truly honored and happy that this record, which captures ‘BTS right now,’ is receiving so much love.” They added, “Thank you to everyone who always loves and supports BTS and our music.”

Meanwhile, BTS are currently on a world tour. They plan to continue meeting European fans, starting in Madrid, Spain on the 26–27.
