Shocking confession: Baby V.O.X alum-turned-actress Yoon Eun-hye revealed she has stayed off dating for 14 years.
On the June 28 broadcast of SBS variety My Little Old Boy, Yoon Eun-hye appeared as a special guest. On air, she candidly opened up about her long single stretch and how the Baby V.O.X members have been doing.
Host Shin Dong-yup asked, "Is it true you haven’t been in a serious relationship for 14 years?" Yoon replied, "I haven’t dated since I was 29." The studio was stunned to hear her last relationship was in her late twenties. Joking, Shin followed up, "So that’s just serious dating—were you still seeing people casually?" Yoon shot back, "The script is wrong. I haven’t been seeing anyone at all," cracking everyone up.
She also talked about the Baby V.O.X members, who made headlines last year with a reunion after 14 years. Seo Jang-hoon said, "I heard the people who revive your dead dating cells are your Baby V.O.X sisters," noting that the married members’ husbands often stop by the practice room. Yoon said, "Our brothers-in-law are total ‘egen-nam’—men with big estrogen energy who only have eyes for their wives. They’re so affectionate and sweet that I get jealous." She added with a laugh, "But sometimes they cross the line with that ‘egen’ vibe."
Yoon continued, "The husbands come to the practice room every time, always by their wives’ side, filming them." About Kan Mi-yeon’s husband in particular, she said, "He keeps showing me my unni’s goofy, unflattering photos, calling them cute. Even when she’s upset, she holds it in and just says, 'Stop it.'" The studio erupted in laughter. Then Yoon admitted, "Seeing that, I sometimes think being alone might actually be easier," sharing her honest take on marriage.
The topic of blind dates also came up. When asked if people try to set her up, Yoon brought up fellow Baby V.O.X member Lee Hee-jin. "Honestly, there’s an unni who needs it more than me. It’s not my turn yet," she joked, drawing more laughs.
Meanwhile, Yoon debuted with Baby V.O.X in 1999. In 2006, she showcased her acting charm through the drama Princess Hours.
