Jung Hae-in's nonstop hustle isn't slowing down, with fresh reports claiming he's already lined up his next big role.

According to a July 7 report by MyDaily, Jung Hae-in will star in tvN's new drama Lucky Seoul.

Lucky Seoul is a cathartic youth revenge story about tracking down a predatory landlord behind a record-breaking jeonse scam and making them pay. As childhood friends reunite to deliver payback, the series sharply exposes the contradictions and tragedies of modern capitalism. (Jeonse is South Korea's lump-sum deposit rental system, which has been at the center of major housing scams.)

Jung Hae-in is reportedly set to play Kwon Ian, who rises from being the youngest manager of a flophouse district to a VIP luxury housing agent. Ian believes firmly in give-and-take and boasts a mix of savvy cunning, ambition, and a rebellious streak. He treats the money he earns as both his pride and his business card, and the drama will portray him as a meticulous, calculating dealmaker in vivid detail.

Fans reacted instantly: "As a fan, I'm so happy his filmography keeps growing," "From the setup, it sounds like a black comedy—I'm already excited," and "A drama that schools jeonse scammers? I'm definitely watching."

Solidifying his status as the industry's go-to "hardworking icon," Jung Hae-in is also gearing up for the release of the Netflix original series Our Sticky Love and will appear in the new project Love Virus.

Meanwhile, Lucky Seoul is slated to begin full-scale filming early next year.
