Breaking: NCT 127 has renewed their contracts as a complete group with SM Entertainment, extending their decade-long run together.
On the 15th, SM Entertainment announced that members Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Haechan have all re-signed as NCT 127, citing their rock-solid teamwork and deep trust with the company.
The label stated, "Since their debut on July 7, 2016, NCT 127 has become a defining K-pop act over the past 10 years thanks to the passionate support and love of fans. We once again thank the members and fans for joining us on this brilliant journey," adding, "We will continue to give NCT 127 our full support and remain a reliable partner for their activities."
Fans reacted with excitement, calling it "the best gift for fans" and saying, "Our 127 is the best."
Currently, Doyoung and Jungwoo are serving in the military, while the recently discharged Taeyong and Jaehyun are staying active, including releasing solo albums.
NCT 127 will drop their seventh full-length album on August 24, marking their comeback. Then, from September 18–20, they will hold their fifth tour, 'Neo City – The Redline' (NEO CITY – THE REDLINE), at KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa.
