On July 20, at the press conference for Disney+ original series A Shop for Killers Season 2 (hereafter 'A Shop for Killers 2'), actor Dong-wook Lee stoked hype by promising cathartic, character-driven action that levels up from Season 1.
The event drew attention as Dong-wook Lee, Hye-jun Kim, Han-sun Jo, and many other cast members joined director Kwon Lee on stage.
Dong-wook Lee said, "Isn't this an era that craves catharsis? I think that's why projects like this are coming out so much," highlighting unique character work and powerful action as key differentiators from other hit action titles. He added, "We started with the pressure that it had to be more fun than Season 1. Many characters showcase action that reflects their own distinct traits, and that will set us apart," expressing strong confidence in the series.
In the previous season of 'A Shop for Killers 2,' the story followed niece Jung Ji-an (Hye-jun Kim) as she fought to grow and survive after the death of her uncle Jung Jin-man (Dong-wook Lee). In Season 2, Jin-man returns from the brink of death and teams up with Ji-an for a full-on confrontation against formidable enemies.
'A Shop for Killers 2' will drop Episodes 1 and 2 on the 22nd, followed by new episodes every Wednesday, for a total of eight.
