The original soundtrack 'Golden' from the Netflix animated film 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' has reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

On the 11th (local time), Billboard announced in a chart forecast article that 'Golden' has risen one spot from the previous week, overtaking Alex Warren's 'Ordinary' to claim the top spot.

Billboard further stated, "'Golden' is the first number one song on the Hot 100 chart sung by female vocalists that is related to K-pop, making it the ninth song overall from the genre to conquer the chart." Previously, only BTS (with 6 songs) and members Jimin (1 song) and Jungkook (1 song) have reached number one on this chart.

'Golden' is performed by the group HuntRix, which appears in 'K-Pop Demon Hunters', characterized by its catchy melody and refreshing high notes. It features compositions from American-Korean SM Entertainment trainee Jaeh, singer Audrey Nuna, and Leah Amiga.

The ranking of the Hot 100 is determined based on a combination of U.S. streaming data, radio airplay points, and sales data. In this charting period, 'Golden' recorded 31.7 million streams, a 9% increase from the previous week, with radio airplay points rising by 71% to 8.4 million listeners and sales up by 35% to 7,000 copies.

Meanwhile, 'Golden' had previously topped the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, marking a remarkable achievement by conquering both charts.
