Rapper-producer MC Mong spoke up for comedians Park Na-rae and Jo Se-ho, who are embroiled in various controversies. But after his post sparked a fierce online back-and-forth, he deleted it.

On the 14th, MC Mong wrote on his social media, criticizing the wave of posts that "pull old broadcast clips as if they were foreshadowing" to attack celebrities, saying it's "not something a person should do." Referring to his own past experiences, he added, "A single comment can leave someone with long-lasting wounds and pain."

He also urged facing issues head-on instead of hiding unconditionally. Addressing celebrities who stepped down from shows amid controversy, MC Mong said, "If you did something wrong, be honest about your position and take the backlash squarely if that's what you deserve." He further pointed out what he sees as an excessive push to oust entertainers: "Public officials still go to work even after they cause a scandal, but an entertainer's entire career gets shaken."

His advice to Park Na-rae was even more direct. Regarding her disputes with former managers, MC Mong said, "Seek a sincere settlement," and urged her to "explain based on facts, whether there's something to apologize for or something you feel wrongly accused of." He emphasized the need to move quickly to contain the situation despite an icy public mood.

Park Na-rae has halted broadcasting activities amid overlapping allegations, including power abuse and workplace bullying claims from former managers and suspicions of illegal medical procedures. The ex-managers have alleged forced drinking, errands, and verbal abuse and say they've taken legal action; Park Na-rae has reportedly responded with countersuits including extortion charges. Jo Se-ho has also stepped down from several programs after claims surfaced about ties to organized crime and business entanglements; he has denied the allegations and signaled legal action.

MC Mong's post triggered divided reactions online, with some warning against a "witch hunt against celebrities" and others criticizing it for "downplaying the gravity of the allegations." The original message has been deleted, but the fallout shows no sign of fading.
