Actors Ha Ji-won and Nana’s same-sex kiss scene is going viral following the broadcast.
In the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama Climax that aired on the 30th, a scene where their relationship shifted dramatically sparked a huge reaction.
In the episode, Chu Sang-ah (played by Ha Ji-won) was facing allegations that she ordered the murder of entertainment producer Oh Gwang-jae (Seo Hyun-woo) when she suffered a panic attack and came face-to-face with Hwang Jeong-won (Nana), who saved her. Although Sang-ah learned that, at her husband Bang Tae-seop’s (Joo Ji-hoon) request, Jeong-won had been surveilling and wiretapping her every move, she calmly told her, "I don’t trust anyone. You don’t have to be sorry either," signaling forgiveness. Jeong-won’s emotions visibly shifted, heightening the tension.
Notably, Sang-ah broke down in tears as she remembered Han Ji-soo (Han Dong-hee), who died because of Oh Gwang-jae. When Jeong-won gently wiped her tears to comfort her, a special bond formed between them. Soon after, Sang-ah, mistaking Jeong-won for her lover Han Ji-soo, suddenly kissed her — a moment that left viewers stunned.
Right after the broadcast, online communities and social media buzzed with comments like "Their visuals match so well," "Is this a love line with Nana?", "Is it really 2026?", "A greater Korea," and "The angle was disappointing."
Meanwhile, Climax — where Ha Ji-won previously drew attention for portraying a same-sex relationship with Han Dong-hee and is now back in the spotlight for her kiss scene with Nana — airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m.
