DKZ are drawing the curtain on their group activities.
On April 15, agency Dongyo Entertainment announced on the official fan page, "After thorough discussions with the members, we have decided to conclude the group's activities with the schedule planned through May 31, 2026." They added, "We deeply thank the members for their longtime effort and dedication."
Rather than a complete split, DKZ will make a fresh start with individual careers after group promotions end. Jaechan and Juwon have renewed their contracts with the agency, while Sehyun, Mingyu, and Giseok will also remain under Dongyo Entertainment and continue their own activities. Starting in June, all five members will reconnect with fans through solo schedules.
Debuting in 2019 under the name DONGKIZ, DKZ marked a turning point in 2022 by changing to their current team name. After that, original member Wondae departed, and Sehyun, Mingyu, and Giseok joined. In 2023, Munik and Kyungyoon left the team, and the group continued as five members.
The agency stated, "We will continue to actively support the five members so they can showcase their talents across various fields," asking for ongoing interest and encouragement.
Their journey as a team is ending, but all eyes are on the DKZ members' next steps as they start anew as individuals.
