Actors Koo Kyo-hwan and Oh Jung-se are already promising explosive comic chemistry with just a few still cuts, sending anticipation for the new series through the roof.

On the 16th, the team behind JTBC’s new Saturday-Sunday drama Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness (hereafter “Mojamussa”) unveiled new stills featuring Koo Kyo-hwan and Oh Jung-se.

In “Mojamussa,” Koo Kyo-hwan plays Hwang Dong-man, a perennial aspiring film director, while Oh Jung-se takes on Park Kyung-se, a commercial filmmaker with five releases already under his belt. The two have been inseparable best friends for 20 years, but after their careers diverge, they constantly keep each other in check, waging a petty “inferiority complex battle.” Their hilariously small-minded back-and-forth is set to deliver the drama’s biggest laughs.

The actors personally introduced standout episodes that capture their characters’ immaturity. Referring to the so-called “kimchi jjigae incident,” Koo Kyo-hwan said, “It’s hard to say who’s more childish: Park Kyung-se, who forces Hwang Dong-man—who hates kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew)—to ‘just eat it, I’ll order it mild,’ or Hwang Dong-man, who needlessly follows him all the way to the kimchi jjigae place just to grumble that he doesn’t want it.”

Oh Jung-se also pinpointed the subtle jealousy between the two. At the very moment Park Kyung-se should be most celebrated for releasing his new film, his best friend Hwang Dong-man dryly tosses out a soulless “Congrats.” Oh Jung-se described it as “a truly unforgettable moment of ‘bad vibes’ from Park Kyung-se’s point of view,” cheekily unpacking the complicated feelings that only happen between the closest of friends.

Speaking about his chemistry with Oh Jung-se, Koo Kyo-hwan shared, “Even in moments when our characters crash into each other with petty envy, senior Oh Jung-se didn’t raise his voice; instead, he delivered his lines with a calm, weighty energy that left me in awe,” expressing deep trust.

The production team added, “The brutally childish yet painfully human ensemble these two actors have built will firmly anchor the heart of the drama,” expressing strong confidence.

Meanwhile, “Mojamussa,” which teases an electrifying back-and-forth between Koo Kyo-hwan and Oh Jung-se, will premiere on Saturday, the 18th, at 10:40 p.m. on JTBC.
