Actor Kim Hyang-gi shocks fans with a bold transformation into a high schooler who writes BL (Boys' Love) novels — and the drama finally drops today.
On the 17th, ahead of the premiere, Coupang Play's original series Absolute Value of Romance released teaser stills that are already spiking curiosity.
The stills capture Eu-ju (played by Kim Hyang-gi) looking stunned with a phone in hand, plus her tense first encounter — full of misunderstandings — with the icy math teacher Woo-su (played by Cha Hak-yeon). When the new neighbors who just moved in suddenly show up as teachers at her school, Eu-ju's unpredictable day kicks into high gear. In particular, the classroom scenes with P.E. teacher Gi-jeon (Son Jeong-hyeok) and Da-ju (Kim Jae-hyun) standing at the lectern tease Eu-ju's chaotic school life, ramping up anticipation for what's next. And when Eu-ju discovers Woo-su collapsed, her quirky, panicked reaction is guaranteed to make viewers laugh.
Absolute Value of Romance follows Eu-ju, a high schooler who writes BL stories starring flower-boy teachers, as she collides with those very teachers in real life — setting off a chain of unexpected incidents and a spectacular campus whirlwind. The series premieres today at 8 p.m. KST exclusively on Coupang Play.
