Horror film Salmokji: Whispering Water has held the top spot at the box office for 10 straight days.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated box office system on the 18th, Salmokji: Whispering Water drew 98,979 moviegoers the previous day to rank No. 1. Its cumulative admissions stand at 1,088,707.

Helmed by director Lee Sang-min, Salmokji: Whispering Water follows a street-view filming crew who heads to the Salmokji reservoir—where eerie rumors never cease—and the horrors that unfold. Kim Hye-yoon leads as Soo-in, with Lee Jong-won, Kim Joon-han, Kim Young-sung, Oh Dong-min, Yoon Jae-chan, and Jang Da-ah in the cast. Since its April 8 release, the film has rapidly spread by word of mouth and drawn intense attention.

Second place went to Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling, which drew 32,892 viewers yesterday for a cumulative 2,160,277. Third was Jang Hang-jun's The King's Warden, with 23,921 admissions for a total of 16,508,511. It currently sits at No. 2 on Korea's all-time box office chart, just behind The Admiral: Roaring Currents.
