Director Yeon Sang-ho’s new film Colony has unveiled six character posters.

Set to premiere on May 21, the film follows a group of isolated survivors trapped inside a building sealed off by a mysterious infection, as they battle infected beings that mutate in unpredictable ways. The title was invited to the Cannes Film Festival, and stars Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan, Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hyun-been, Kim Shin-rok, and Go Soo, each showcasing a distinct character.

Revealed on the 22nd, the character posters form a massive, interlocked wall, capturing each figure’s grim resolve under the looming threat of the infected. The sense that the infected could strike at any second ramps up the tension, while highlighting the individuality of the six leads.

Kwon Se-jeong (played by Jun Ji-hyun) stands strong before the infected, hinting at her drive to lead the survivors to escape. Meanwhile, Seo Young-chul (Koo Kyo-hwan), wearing handcuffs and an enigmatic expression, sparks curiosity about his identity and convictions.

Choi Hyun-seok (Ji Chang-wook), bloodied and gripping a pole, radiates a last-stand determination, while Gong Seol-hee (Shin Hyun-been) in protective gear signals efforts to resolve the crisis from the outside.

Finally, Choi Hyun-hee (Kim Shin-rok), visibly stunned by an unbelievable situation, and Han Gyu-seong (Go Soo), whose expression never wavers, raise questions about the divergent choices these characters will make in a life-or-death standoff.

These bold, contrasting characters are poised to become one of the key reasons to watch 'Colony'.

Following the poster drop, movie fans flooded social media with reactions. Some said, "This looks like a next-level zombie flick," while others commented, "Being surrounded by zombies gives me chills," signaling soaring anticipation.
