EXO’s Baekhyun, who is currently promoting as part of the unit EXO-CBX, is reportedly eyeing a new agency. This time, industry chatter says he’s in talks for an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation, home to BIGBANG leader G-Dragon.
On the 22nd, JoyNews24 reported that Baekhyun recently met with Galaxy Corporation to discuss his future activities and the terms of a potential exclusive deal. Talks are said to be in the fine-tuning stage, and no final agreement has been reached yet.
In 2024, Baekhyun launched the independent label INB100 with fellow EXO members Chen and Xiumin. While the trio continued EXO-CBX activities on their own path, disputes erupted with former agency SM Entertainment over settlement data and contract terms.
INB100 later operated under an affiliate group of One Hundred, led by Chairman Cha Ga-won. Recently, however, multiple artists under One Hundred raised issues over unpaid settlements and contract disputes, and EXO-CBX reportedly sent a formal notice to terminate their contract.
If Baekhyun teams up with Galaxy Corporation, his independent move could accelerate once again. Notably, SHINee’s Taemin also left the One Hundred affiliate and partnered with Galaxy Corporation, drawing even more attention from within the industry.
Galaxy Corporation currently houses stars including G-Dragon, Song Kang-ho, and Kim Jong-kook. As the company continues to sign major artists, whether Baekhyun will join has become a key industry talking point.
As attention centers on Baekhyun’s next step, fans are also watching what Chen and Xiumin will choose. Will EXO-CBX stay intact, or will each member go their own way?
