A veteran hitmaker who discovered and developed Korea’s leading K-pop artists — including MAMAMOO and (G)I-DLE — is launching a high-intensity global training camp to find the next wave of worldwide stars.

Klab Company, which operates the ModernK Academy, announced on the 22nd that in May it will host the 'Global Casting Project (GCP) Vol.3,' an intensive training and audition program for K-pop hopefuls around the world.

This project goes beyond a simple camp, drawing industry attention because the very architects of K-pop success personally designed the curriculum. KLAB’s head, CEO Kim Hyung-gyu, previously served as Director of Rookie Development at CUBE Entertainment and RBW, helping launch Beast (2009), 4Minute (2009), Apink (2011), BTOB (2012), MAMAMOO (2014), and (G)I-DLE (2018) — earning a reputation as a “rookie-development expert.”

In particular, KLAB’s 'ModernK Practical Music Academy' is one of Korea’s most established training institutions and has produced over 100 K-pop artists to date. MAMAMOO, EXO’s Chen, BTOB, Highlight, Stray Kids’ Changbin, ONEUS, and Kep1er’s Seo Young-eun all passed through its system on their way to global stardom.

In previous rounds, as of December 30, 2025, the project produced a total of 74 final passers. Breakdown: SM (8), YG (1), THEBLACKLABEL (1), P NATION (1), Yuehua (1), a major undisclosed label (3), ATTRAKT (4), RBW (1), S2 Entertainment (2), WAKEONE (1), WE Entertainment (2), and MBK (3).

GCP Vol.3 will run for roughly two weeks, from May 19 to 31. Participants will receive vocal, dance, and directing coaching on par with what active K-pop idols get. At the end of the program, a joint audition featuring key representatives from major Korean agencies will offer a direct fast track for global applicants hoping to be signed as trainees.

A KLAB representative said, "We will consolidate our rookie-development know-how and infrastructure to present the shortest path for talented foreign hopefuls to establish themselves in the Korean entertainment market," adding, "We hope many passionate rough gems who dream of becoming the next MAMAMOO or the next Stray Kids will join."
