Comedian Shin Giru is making a fresh start at SM C&C, officially signing with the agency to kick off a new chapter.
On the 27th, SM C&C announced, "We have signed an exclusive contract with artist Shin Giru, who boasts many years of broadcasting experience and an irreplaceable personality," adding, "We will spare no effort to provide full support so she can showcase her talents across diverse fields."
Shin Giru debuted in 2005 on the KBS variety show Comedy Club, then expanded her career after being selected as an SBS 9th special recruitment comedian. She built a one-of-a-kind persona across multiple comedy stages, including People Looking for a Laugh, Gaegeu Sanyang, and Comedy Big League.
Recently, she has cemented her status as a trending force in variety. On shows like Handocheogwa, Wijang Chwieop, Deongchi Survival - Meokjjippa, and Belly Showdown , she delivered fearless physical comedy and unfiltered wit that had viewers in stitches. Her trademark candid, fiery energy left a lasting impression.
Her impact extends online as well. Her appearance on the web variety show Turkids on the Block drew high view counts and buzz, and she continues to stay in close touch with fans through her personal YouTube channel.
