Park Bo-young is stepping into unfamiliar territory—and this time, there’s no turning back.

On March 30, Disney+ unveiled the main trailer for its original series Gold Land, hinting at a story where one wrong choice spirals into something far more dangerous than expected.

It begins quietly. Kim Hee-joo, a customs officer who wants nothing more than a stable life, agrees to a small favor for her boyfriend, played by Lee Hyun-wook. Let one coffin pass. Look the other way. Something easy—until it isn’t.

Inside that coffin is 150 billion won worth of gold. And the moment she finds it, the story shifts—not just around her, but within her.

The trailer leans less on spectacle and more on tension. Hee-joo doesn’t suddenly become someone else; she slowly crosses a line, one decision at a time. A look lingers too long. A hesitation disappears. And then comes the question that defines everything: if no one owns it, why can’t she?

Around her, the world closes in fast. Kim Sung-cheol plays Woo-gi, the first to sense what she’s hiding—approaching her with familiarity, but never quite revealing his true intent. Lee Kwang-soo transforms into a relentless pursuer, while Kim Hee-won adds another layer of pressure as a corrupt cop drawn into the same orbit of greed.

No one in this story feels safe. And no one feels entirely innocent either.

More than a crime drama, Gold Land positions itself as a character descent—tracking how quickly survival, desire, and fear start to blur into one. For Park Bo-young, known for softer roles, this marks a shift not just in genre, but in presence.

The response has been immediate. Viewers are already calling it “addictive” and “tense from the first second,” with particular curiosity around how far her character will go.

Episodes 1 and 2 drop on April 29, with two new episodes released weekly.
