Actor Jung Sung-il is going viral for a fearless, over-the-top transformation, proving his chops as a true "comedy master" and seizing the public’s attention.

On May 31, episode 5 of the YouTube channel 'Ppadeoneoseu' comedy series Ipgeum Baramnida dropped, featuring actor Gong Seung-yeon as a special guest.

The 8-episode web drama Ipgeum Baramnida follows Yoon Ji-hyeok (played by Jung Sung-il), a former National Intelligence Service ace who quits and becomes the money-obsessed head of a private fixer agency, as he teams up with the hilariously steadfast profiler Moon Sang-rok (Moon Sang-hoon) to solve clients’ outrageous headaches in their own unconventional way.

Jung Sung-il plays Yoon Ji-hyeok, the head of the One Solution agency. Though he’s ex-NIS elite, he now digs into cases with a firm credo: "If the money hits my account, I’ll handle anything."

Starting with episode 1 guest Lee Kwang-soo, the series has brought in stars like LE SSERAFIM’s Kim Chaewon and actor No Jae-won, delivering big laughs with episodes tailored to each guest’s concept. In episode 5, Gong Seung-yeon doubled the fun by casually weaving in real-life anecdotes about her sister, TWICE’s Jeongyeon.

What’s most jaw-dropping is Jung Sung-il’s 180-degree image shift. Known for chilling charisma and intense performances in major titles like Netflix’s The Glory, Disney+ Trigger, and Netflix film Uprising, he unleashes a cheeky, approachable, and totally unexpected charm this time around.

Nailing every detail of a blustering, paycheck-to-paycheck hustler, he flips the switch the moment a deposit hits—breaking into a hilarious "buzz-cut dance" even for prank-call-level requests—and goes all-in selling surprise keyring merch, sending viewers into fits of laughter. His chaotic chemistry with partner Moon Sang-hoon is pure gold.

Viewers are raving: "How hard did they pay him to go this far?", "It feels like he’s pushing the limits of his acting career", "With this level of acting and planning, broadcasters should be nervous", and "Jung Sung-il’s comic acting is insane right now."

Meanwhile, Ipgeum Baramnida, powered by Jung Sung-il’s sly, scene-stealing performance, drops new episodes every other Sunday at 1 p.m. KST on the YouTube channel 'Ppadeoneoseu'.
