The 2026 MAMA AWARDS is heading back to Japan—this time, with even bigger expectations.

CJ ENM confirmed on March 31 that the global awards show will take place at Kyocera Dome Osaka from November 20 to 21, marking its third time at the venue.

What began in 1999 as the Mnet Music Video Awards has steadily evolved into one of the most visible stages in K-pop. Over the years, its scale has expanded alongside the industry itself—crossing borders, audiences, and formats.

Recent editions have pushed that reach even further. In 2024, the event spanned both Los Angeles and Osaka, signaling a shift toward multi-location, globally synchronized productions.

This year continues that direction, with plans for a hybrid format that blends live staging with worldwide digital broadcast—designed to meet audiences wherever they are.

For an event built on visibility, the goal remains the same. Not just to reflect the industry—but to keep moving with it.
