Q of THE BOYZ is reportedly taking on his next project—this time as a leading man.

According to News1 on April 3, he has been cast as the male lead Jae-ha in the new drama I Tried to Stop My Bias from Debuting, So I Debuted Instead!, and has already begun filming.

Since debuting with THE BOYZ in 2017, Q has built his reputation as the group’s main dancer. More recently, he began expanding into acting, appearing in the upcoming film Apartment: In the Realm of Ripley, where he plays an idol trainee.

This latest casting signals a bigger step in that direction.

The timing also adds another layer of attention. The group is currently in a dispute with agency ONEHUNDRED over contract termination, and with fellow member Younghoon already confirming a new project, Q’s update further draws focus to the members’ individual paths.

Meanwhile, broadcast details for the drama have yet to be announced.
