Actress Go Jun-hee has gone viral after revealing the Hermès bag collection she has built over the past 20 years.
On April 27, a video dropped on Go Jun-hee’s YouTube channel showing her personally introducing the Hermès bags stored at her home, gathering them all in one place. In the clip, Go said, "I even brought the bags I share with my mom," adding candidly, "I think there are some I’ve never used even once." The reveal totaled 17 bags, stunning viewers.
Go also shared her personal buying philosophy. "With Hermès, it’s all about timing. If the store has it, you have to buy it right away," she explained. "Back then, whenever I had the chance, I bought it on the spot." She then quipped, "Now the prices have gone up so much that even I can’t buy easily. I can’t afford it."
Commenting on the current luxury market, she noted, "These days, I hear you need to purchase a lot of other items to buy even one bag," pointing to the changing purchase culture. While she used to buy scarves or shoes together in the past, she added it wasn’t as burdensome as it is now.
She also revealed some price backstories. Pointing to one Hermès piece, Go said, "I bought this for under 5 million won at the time," and about a vintage item, she recalled, "I paid 500,000 won and even asked again if it was real."
Her first encounter with Hermès began with a family gift. "In my mid-20s in Paris, I bought a gift for my mother—that’s when I first experienced it," she reminisced. "I still remember how fascinating it was to see them show multiple products back then."
Toward the end, Go shared the mindset behind her purchases: "If you buy a good bag, the goal is to use it for a long time," introducing pieces she has carried for over a decade. Jokingly, she added, "Hermès never betrays you. People might, but bags don’t," drawing laughter.
