Reports indicate that ADOR’s legal team has resigned from its damages lawsuit involving NewJeans member Danielle, her family, and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin.
On the 28th, attorney Lee Hyeon-gon stated via social media that multiple lawyers from Kim & Chang had withdrawn from the case, suggesting the move could impact the trial timeline.
The legal team reportedly consisted of five attorneys, all of whom submitted resignation filings on the 24th.
During the first preparatory hearing on March 26 at the Seoul Central District Court, Danielle’s side requested an expedited process, citing concerns about prolonged litigation affecting her career. Observers have pointed to the inclusion of family members as defendants and scheduling gaps as potential factors affecting the pace of the case.
ADOR stated that it has no intention of delaying proceedings, explaining that late submission of materials required additional time for review and preparation.
The next hearing is scheduled for May 14, with additional sessions planned in May and July. The lawsuit stems from a damages claim filed after ADOR notified Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract in December.
