Soyee (birth name Jang So-jin), formerly of the girl group Gugudan, is getting married this August.
On the 20th, Soyee personally announced her marriage on Instagram, writing, "I’ve decided to make a lifelong promise with the person who has made my life even more meaningful."
Speaking about her fiancé, who is reportedly a lawyer, she shared, "When we’re together, I’m at my most natural and comfortable," adding, "We’re set to begin a new chapter this August as husband and wife." She continued, "In every moment to come, we’ll be each other’s strongest support. Please watch over this unfamiliar yet beautiful beginning with warm hearts."
The released wedding pictorial captures Soyee in a pure white gown alongside her fiancé, radiating tender chemistry.
As the news broke, fellow former Gugudan members Mimi and Kang Mina jumped into the comments to congratulate her, proving their unshakable friendship.
Meanwhile, Soyee debuted in 2016 as the main vocalist of Jellyfish Entertainment’s girl group Gugudan. The group, which included I.O.I members Kim Sejeong and Kang Mina, disbanded in December 2020.
