Comedian Kim Shin-young opens up about the time she battled panic disorder — and offers heartfelt thanks to Song Eun-yi for staying by her side.

On the April 30 broadcast of KBS2’s variety show Problem Child in House, rising “it” entertainer Kim Shin-young appears and speaks candidly. On air, she confesses that she once endured a difficult period when she was suddenly struck by panic disorder during her activities.

To overcome the symptoms, Kim says she actively underwent cognitive behavioral therapy and even rode the Namsan cable car up to six times a day, pushing herself to adapt to the situation. She calmly recounts the time she fought, step by step, to beat the panic symptoms.

One story from a long-haul flight particularly stands out. When panic symptoms hit midair, Song Eun-yi immediately stayed by her side and stepped in to help. Song says she took Kim into the aisle, talked with her for a long time, and helped her regain her emotional stability.

Recalling that moment, Kim shares, “I realized people can’t live alone,” expressing sincere gratitude toward Song Eun-yi.

The episode also captures the pair’s reunion. Meeting in the same space for the first time in about four years since parting ways with their agency, the two appear to choke up near the end of the show. “I keep getting choked up,” Kim admits, while Song responds, “I missed the time we spent doing shows together,” adding to the touching mood.

The story of two colleagues—and friends—who helped each other endure hard times airs today at 8:30 p.m.
