Comedian Kim Shin-young candidly revealed how, after losing 44 kg and keeping it off for 13 years, she gained it all back in just six weeks.

On the 4th, tvN variety You Quiz on the Block dropped a pre-release clip on its official YouTube channel. The video spotlights Kim Shin-young’s brutally real account of rebound weight gain after years of strict self-management, drawing major attention.

Yoo Jae-suk said, "People say maintaining is harder than dieting," expressing admiration for Kim Shin-young, who had managed her weight for 13 years. Kim replied, "It took only six weeks to come back. I felt so empty," making everyone laugh.

Explaining what triggered the rebound, Kim said, "The thing I controlled the most was eating. One day, I was eating a size-18 chocolate cake and started laughing. I thought, 'What’s life anyway?'"

Once the appetite broke loose, there was no stopping it. "I ate ramyeon, then because my mouth felt sticky, I had bibim ramyeon (spicy mixed ramyeon), and finally even jjajang ramyeon (black bean ramyeon)," she confessed. Hearing this, Yoo Jae-suk said, "That course sounds so good," and Kim added, "I lost to my blood sugar. I was so sleepy I couldn’t even wash before passing out."

And it didn’t stop there. "I ate jaeyuk-bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork) piled with shredded scallions, and even added dangmyeon (glass noodles). I kept snacking, too," she revealed about her menu at the time. Yoo Jae-suk joked, "With a course like that, even six weeks sounds short," sending the set into laughter.

Kim Shin-young, who once dropped from 88 kg by about 44 kg, had long been cited as a rare success story of maintaining weight without rebound. Recently, however, she personally explained the reason for her weight gain on MBC’s 'I Live Alone.' Recalling her final moments with the late Jeon Yoo-sung, she said, "The professor told me, 'Eat what you want and live.' That became the turning point." She added, "I realized that simply eating proper meals and being able to do what I love is happiness in itself," sharing her sincere feelings.

Kim Shin-young’s upbeat yet unfiltered behind-the-scenes diet story will air on You Quiz on the Block at 8:45 p.m. on the 10th.
