Shocking—Koyote’s Shin Ji (45) and singer Moon Won (38) are finally tying the knot on May 2, officially kicking off the “second chapter” of their lives.
The couple will hold a private ceremony this afternoon with only immediate family and close friends in attendance. Comedian Moon Se-yoon will emcee, while singer Baek Ji-young—Shin Ji’s longtime friend—will deliver a heartfelt congratulatory performance to bless the couple’s new beginning.
Shin Ji and Moon Won first met last year on MBC Standard FM’s Lee Yoon Seok and Shin Ji’s Singgeulbeonggeul Show, where he appeared as a guest opposite her DJ role, and their connection soon blossomed into romance. In June of the same year, news of their wedding photoshoot went public, signaling that full-scale wedding preparations were underway.
Ahead of the wedding, speculation erupted over Moon Won’s past and a previous marriage, stirring brief turbulence. Still, Shin Ji declared, “I’m grateful I finally have someone who’s truly on my side,” showing unwavering trust in her groom-to-be. Moon Won also pushed back, saying the various allegations against him were “completely unfounded,” and moved to quash the rumors through legal action.
Having weathered those trials together and grown even stronger, the two have already moved in together and have been sharing sweet newlywed moments with the public through YouTube and several TV appearances.
Meanwhile, more of Shin Ji and Moon Won’s eventful wedding prep will air on the MBN variety program Namui Jip Gwihan Gajok. The couple plans to postpone their honeymoon for now and focus on their individual schedules.
