Former Jewelry member Seo In-young looked back on her past relationships with the group and made a candid confession — directly addressing long-rumored friction with Jo Min-ah and expressing belated regret.
On May 21, Seo appeared on YouTuber and former Shop member Lee Ji-hye’s channel, where she opened up about her days in Jewelry. When Lee asked, "Was there a member you didn’t get along with?" Seo mentioned Lee Ji-hyun, admitting, "We didn’t really click when we were young," while adding that they’re now on good enough terms to check in on each other.
Seo also spoke about her dynamic with Jo Min-ah. "Back then, I hung out with Min-ah a lot, but we don’t keep in touch now," she said, taking full responsibility: "That was entirely my fault." She added, "Min-ah always reached out first, but I had a hard time accepting it."
She went into the reason for the rift. "I wanted someone to take my side, but Min-ah is the type to say, 'If it’s wrong, it’s wrong,'" Seo explained. "I didn’t want to hear that, so I kept my distance. Looking back, that was my shortcoming."
She even brought up what happened at her wedding. "I was the only one who didn’t invite Min-ah to my wedding," Seo admitted. "That’s the part I feel most sorry about." Lee empathized, saying, "In that situation, it would’ve definitely hurt."
Previously, in 2023, Jo Min-ah revealed she was hurt by not attending Seo In-young’s wedding, saying she "never received an invitation."
