The buzzed-about drama pairing actor Lee Jae-wook, who is set to enlist in the military, with rising “next-gen melodrama queen” Shin Ye-eun has signaled the start of a soft, heart-fluttering romance ahead of its premiere.
On the 6th, the team behind ENA’s new Monday–Tuesday drama Doctor on the Edge unveiled a poster that spotlights the leads’ undeniable chemistry.
The poster shows Do Ji-ui (played by Lee Jae-wook) and Yook Hari (played by Shin Ye-eun) sharing a pair of earphones against a calm ocean backdrop. Their locked gazes, paired with the tagline “An acute heart-flutter alert from a public health doctor with chronic island trauma,” ramp up curiosity about how their relationship will change.
Lee Jae-wook transforms into Do Ji-ui, a public health doctor carrying trauma related to islands and the sea. After living behind a cold wall, he gradually lets down his guard as he becomes entangled with Yook Hari—a key point to watch. Shin Ye-eun plays Yook Hari, a kind, deeply considerate nurse. With a warm heart that can’t turn away from anyone in need, Hari returns to Pyeondongdo while keeping a secret, sending gentle yet powerful ripples through Ji-ui’s precarious life.

Based on the popular KakaoPage and Kakao Webtoon original Jonbeo Doctor, Doctor on the Edge is a medical human romance about public health doctor Do Ji-ui, assigned to the notorious island of Pyeondongdo, and the mysterious nurse Yook Hari as they heal each other. Set on a remote island, their story of saving lives and learning love alongside the island villagers is already drawing attention.
Meanwhile, Doctor on the Edge premieres on June 1 and will also be available on Genie TV and Disney+.
