Recently, Annie posted on a fan communication platform, writing, "On a plane going on a trip with a friend," along with a photo. In the released picture, Annie is seated in economy class, wearing a headset and taking notes in a notebook, fully focused on studying. She explained, "Studying for finals on the plane," adding that it was "a photo my friend secretly took." Her dedication to academics even while traveling stood out.
What especially caught fans’ eyes was the seat class. Annie, who comes from a chaebol family, chose economy instead of first or business class, delivering an unexpected contrast. Online, reactions like "Surprisingly modest" poured in alongside varied interpretations.
Annie is the granddaughter of Shinsegae Group’s chair Lee Myung-hee and the eldest daughter of chair Chung Yoo-kyung. Drawing attention even before debut, Annie trained at THEBLACKLABEL led by producer Teddy and debuted last year with All Day Project.
Currently, Annie is nearing graduation at Columbia University in the U.S., majoring in art history and visual arts, and is focusing on her studies. She previously adjusted her group activities due to graduation, personally explaining the situation to fans and asking for their understanding.
