Comedian Kim Shin-young finally got her first day off in three weeks — and it turned into a jam-packed marathon of cooking, eating, and hardcore housework.

The June 26 episode of MBC’s variety show I Live Alone reveals how Kim spends a rare break amid her hectic schedule.

Her day off kicks off with a hearty breakfast. The moment she opens the fridge, she grabs samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly) without hesitation and starts grilling. “You should eat breakfast like a king,” she says, adding, “For breakfast, it’s pork belly, no question,” laying out her personal philosophy.

She digs in looking satisfied, but quickly remarks, “It’s modest. Too modest,” hinting that something is missing. Soon after, she’s spotted leaving a few pieces of pork belly and slipping into deep thought, sparking curiosity about why.

The broadcast also unveils one of Kim’s ultra-easy recipes. After going viral for her previous “dangmyeon (glass noodles) recipe,” she takes out her beloved yangpun (large stainless mixing bowl) and gets to work on a summer specialty. “This dish doesn’t use glass noodles,” she declares, doubling down on her firm cooking philosophy.

Instead of dangmyeon, she completes the dish with a special ingredient and well-fermented kimchi, making it entirely her own. In the released scenes, she’s seen digging straight into the bowl in a full-on mukbang, repeatedly exclaiming, “So good,” clearly pleased with her creation.

Her housework is just as attention-grabbing. After months of debating the purchase, she finally receives a so-called “revolutionary item” by delivery and begins assembling it.

But using it isn’t smooth sailing. She attempts to clean the exterior of her living room windows with the gadget, sweating in the heat and even trembling as she struggles. Eventually, she exclaims, “I’m so mad right now!” and even resorts to bare-handed grit.

Catch Kim’s jam-packed day of eating, making, and scrubbing on I Live Alone, airing at 11:10 p.m. that day.
