Shocking home makeover: former announcer–turned–TV personality Kim Dae-ho is transforming his house into a personal playground.
On the June 5 broadcast of MBC’s variety show I Live Alone, viewers will see Kim give “Dae-ho House No. 1” a bold update. Marking the change of seasons, he clears out his belongings and fills the newly open space with long-held dreams, one by one.
Kim starts by creating a dedicated zone for his pet cat, Nana. He pounds nails directly into the wall, installs steps, and begins crafting a custom catwalk. True to his promise to “build the ultimate theme park,” he even uses a level to ensure every detail is precise, completing a path made just for Nana.
After finishing Nana’s space, Kim kicks off a project just for himself. Previously, he even built a sand area inside his home; this time, he’s going all in on an indoor climbing setup.
“The most fun thing is doing what you want, when you want,” he says, as he starts work to enjoy his favorite hobby, climbing, right at home. He lays down thick crash mats and installs colorful climbing holds across the walls and ceiling.
With the climbing zone complete, Kim can’t hide his excitement: “I can’t believe I’m doing this at home.” Fully geared up like a seasoned mountaineer, he attempts a climb himself.
One route even stretches from the living room to the bedroom, raising curiosity over whether Kim can complete his very own indoor course without stepping down.
Kim Dae-ho’s dramatic “Dae-ho House No. 1” transformation will air on I Live Alone at 11:10 p.m. today.
