Director Jang Hang-jun is revealing how his daily life has changed following the box office success of The King’s Warden.

On the 26th, the KBS2 variety show Problem Child in House will feature singer Yoon Jong-shin and Jang Hang-jun. On the broadcast, Jang plans to candidly discuss his elevated status after the success of The King’s Warden, showing off his trademark wit.

Jang shares that he has finally shaken off the longtime label of being “the husband living under writer Kim Eun-hee’s shadow.” Known for having used his wife Kim Eun-hee’s credit card in the past, Jang surprises everyone by saying, “It’s been a while since I surpassed Kim Eun-hee’s income.” He adds, “Now I give my card to my wife,” revealing his changed financial situation with playful confidence.

He also opens up about a big “filial flex” for his mother-in-law. Jang says he mustered up the courage to take her to a department store’s luxury boutique, only to end up returning empty-handed—raising curiosity. What reaction his mother-in-law had, and why he ultimately didn’t buy the gift, will be revealed on the show.

Of course, his 31-year friendship with his bestie Yoon Jong-shin can’t be left out. Jang recalls how, during tough times, Yoon helped him with taxi fares, groceries, and more. Jang jokes, “Yoon Jong-shin has always done better than me,” drawing laughs, while also expressing sincere gratitude. When asked, “If Yoon Jong-shin said he wanted a luxury bag, could you buy it for him?” Jang didn’t hesitate: “I can buy it,” showcasing his unwavering loyalty.

Jang Hang-jun’s newfound financial confidence, his 31-year bond with Yoon Jong-shin, and the luxury-boutique episode with his mother-in-law will all unfold on tonight’s 10 p.m. broadcast.
