With buzzy projects like Iseop-ui Yeonae and The Remarried Empress already lined up, actor Lee Jong-suk is reportedly eyeing his next move—joining the new drama Nagwon.
According to MyDaily on the 13th, Lee Jong-suk is set to star in the drama Nagwon.
Nagwon is the first new series in five years from writer Kim Su-jin, who penned Beyond Evil, a critically acclaimed psychological thriller that earned the Baeksang Arts Awards Best Screenplay honor in 2021. Expectations are soaring for Kim’s long-awaited return.
Director Oh Choong-hwan—known for stylish visuals and tight pacing in dramas like Start-Up, Castaway Diva, Melo Movie—will helm the project. If Lee Jong-suk signs on, this will mark his third collaboration with Oh after While You Were Sleeping and Big Mouth.
As the casting news spread, fans reacted with comments like “Hope it’s a genre series,” “I want the tone to be the opposite of the title,” and “Lee Jong-suk never stops working.”
Meanwhile, Nagwon, already making waves for its all-star lineup, has been drawing major attention since the earliest stages of production.
