Actor Ryeoun is reportedly returning to the small screen with a romance project — exactly what fans have been pleading for.

According to SPOTV News on the 12th, Ryeoun will star in the new drama The World That They Live In.

The series is based on a hit Naver webtoon of the same name and follows Se-ul, a heroine who has sworn off dating, as three men — something that has never happened in her life — show up all at once, kicking off a chaotic, laugh-filled romantic comedy.

Previously, Shin Se-kyung considered the role of the female lead Se-ul in January but ultimately declined. The production team is expediting casting to find a new leading actress.

Debuting in 2017 with Temperature of Love, Ryeoun has cemented himself as a rising star with solid performances in Twinkling Watermelon and Weak Hero Class 2. In Disney+’s Bloody Flower, released in February, he flawlessly portrayed a chilling serial killer, proving his impressive acting range.

News that he chose a romance for his next project after an intense genre piece has netizens buzzing: "We’re finally getting a signature Ryeoun rom-com," and "Hope they wrap casting fast and start filming ASAP."

Meanwhile, The World That They Live In, which has entered full-scale pre-production, is expected to finalize its leads soon and begin filming.
