Shocking new data shows the average stay for inbound travelers to Korea dropped to just about 6.3 days in last year’s fourth quarter—shorter than the previous quarter and down year over year, according to the Korea Culture & Tourism Institute.

Leisure and relaxation dominated trip purposes at 71.8%, with women at 80.9% and travelers in their 20s at 80.8%—proof that young female visitors are driving Korea’s travel boom.

Riding the explosive global pull of K-pop and K-culture, more Gen Z and millennial tourists are mapping their itineraries around BTS—chasing concerts or hopping between the group’s iconic filming locations.

Where are BTS’s hidden filming spots?

1. Jumunjin’s BTS album photo spot (the bus stop)

First up is the so-called “BTS Bus Stop” on Gangneung’s Jumunjin Beach, the now-legendary spot where the group shot an album jacket. It’s already a hot pilgrimage site for domestic and international fans alike.

The original set was a temporary build for filming, but it’s been recreated as a dedicated photo zone for visitors—now one of Jumunjin Beach’s most eye-catching attractions.

2. Oseong Hanok Village

Nestled between Jongnamsan and Wibong Mountain like a folding screen, Oseong Hanok Village features around 20 traditional Korean houses set against pristine nature. It’s a healing getaway where tradition, culture, nature, and rest come together—now a signature destination of Wanju that’s rising fast in nationwide fame.

Word of mouth exploded after BTS spent a week here in 2019 filming their 'BTS 2019 SUMMER PACKAGE' music video and pictorial. Since then, steady streams of ARMY—and general tourists—have kept this spot buzzing.

Ilyeong Station is famous as a filming location for BTS’s 'Spring Day' music video.

Opened in the 1960s on the suburban line connecting Goyang Neunggok and Uijeongbu, Ilyeong Station shot to fame after appearing in the opening scene of BTS’s 2017 'Spring Day' MV. Located at 25, Ilyeong-ro 647beon-gil, Jangheung-myeon, Yangju, Gyeonggi-do, the station has been closed to passenger service since 2004 but continues to welcome tourists.

Since last year, the 'Ilyeong Station Tourist Information Center' has officially opened on-site, giving visitors a starting point for exploring Yangju.
