Actor Lee Jun-young has announced a special appearance in a new film, keeping up his relentless work streak.
On the 21st, his agency Billions said, "Lee Jun-young has joined the film autograph (working title) for a special appearance and will meet audiences with an impactful character." Lee is set to appear at the film’s climactic peak as a key figure who detonates the characters’ emotions, delivering a short yet unforgettable presence.
autograph follows Justice Minister nominee Seok-gyu (played by Jung Sung-il) as he prepares for his confirmation hearing and chases the truth behind a mysterious past case tied to a letter from Sun-hwa (played by Park Ji-hyun), the last death-row inmate in Korea. The film is currently in post-production and is building anticipation with its weighty social message and promised, heart-tugging emotion.
Straddling both the big and small screens, Lee Jun-young is also set to return to television. In the JTBC drama Sinipsawon Kang Hoejang, premiering on the 30th, he plays soccer player Hwang Jun-hyeon and takes on his first-ever dual-personality performance since debut.
He will also transform into the tragic piano prodigy Choi Jeong-yo in tvN’s upcoming Pohaenjeu this fall, aiming for yet another career-defining role. With each project, Lee Jun-young’s fearless streak of limitless transformations is keeping the public’s eyes locked on him.
