Lee Joon, the star behind the viral ‘Catch Catch’ challenge and former member of MBLAQ, is set to appear on the tvN variety show You Quiz on the Block.
At the end of the May 20 broadcast of You Quiz on the Block, a teaser featuring Lee Joon was released.
Recently on the web variety show Workman, Lee Joon took on a cheerleader challenge. Wearing a sleeveless top at a baseball stadium, he danced to Yena’s song ‘Catch Catch’—and the clip set online communities and social media on fire, catapulting him straight into the spotlight.
Introducing himself with a laugh, Lee Joon said, “It’s Lee Joon, back as a cheerleader.” Yoo Jae-suk joked, “Why go this far?” drawing even more laughs.
When Yoo Jae-suk asked, “Do you have your own acting practice method?” Lee Joon replied, “When I shoot action scenes, I ask my co-stars to actually hit me,” giving a brutally realistic answer. He added, “There was a scene where I had to carry an actress and run away. To keep the rhythm of our breathing, I did squats while holding her before the take. But when it came time to shoot, my strength gave out and I dropped her,” sharing a behind-the-scenes story.
Toward the end, Lee Joon reflected on his past: “I used to practice dance incredibly hard. My dancewear always had holes in it.” When Yoo Jae-suk asked, “Did you really make one set last three years?” Lee Joon said, “I’m not embarrassed about that at all,” before adding calmly, “What embarrassed me was that my skills weren’t improving back then.”
