Shocking update: Stray Kids member Seungmin will skip the 'The Governors Ball Music Festival' in the U.S. this June after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in his ankle.
Agency JYP Entertainment shared the news via its official social media accounts on May 21.
The company stated, "(Seungmin) is resting even in daily life and avoiding strenuous physical activity," adding, "To focus on a full recovery and stable treatment, we will minimize long flights and travel in confined spaces, ensure sufficient rest, and continue treatment while monitoring his progress."
They continued, "At the 'The Governors Ball Music Festival' to be held in New York, USA, on June 6 (local time), the performance will proceed with seven members without Seungmin, and he will be unable to attend due to unavoidable circumstances."
Back in March, Seungmin visited a hospital for pain in his left ankle and was advised of a possible stress fracture, after which he has been receiving ongoing treatment. Subsequent tests confirmed a stress fracture in his left ankle. He is currently undergoing further detailed examinations to check for related symptoms or similar conditions while focusing on treatment and recovery.
Meanwhile, Stray Kids are slated to headline the Governors Ball Music Festival next month.
