Shocking clarification: Actor Jo Jung-suk finally addressed the long-standing misconception about his marriage to singer Gummy, revealing that the couple never held a wedding ceremony—despite what many believed.

In a recent teaser on singer-actress Hyeri’s YouTube channel, Jo Jung-suk previewed his appearance and shared how it felt to reunite with her for the first time in about nine years since the drama 'Two Cops.' He affectionately described Hyeri as feeling like "a youngest sibling," keeping the vibe friendly and relaxed.

Jo then tackled the persistent rumor surrounding their marriage. "A lot of people think we had a wedding, but we actually never held one," he said. "Friends would ask, 'Why didn’t you invite me to the wedding?' How could we invite anyone when there wasn’t one?" he joked, drawing laughter. In past broadcasts, Gummy explained they skipped a formal ceremony because it was difficult to set clear criteria for guests.

He also opened up about his family. Talking about their daughters, Jo said, "Our first is a girl, and our second is a girl, too. The first takes after me a lot, and I hoped the second would resemble my wife. But the second actually looks even more like me. At home, it’s like we have three Jo Jung-suks and one Gummy," he quipped, cracking up the set.

Jo Jung-suk and Gummy began dating in 2013 and, after five years together, became a married couple in 2018. Instead of a traditional wedding, they made their vows in a quiet family-only ceremony. They welcomed their first daughter in 2020 and their second earlier this year.
